I am a Lahore-based artist and educator with an MA in Visual Arts and a BFA from the National College of Arts (NCA). With over ten years of
teaching experience across colleges and institutes, my studio practice focuses on printmaking techniques (like intaglio and photo etching),
photo montages, and sculpture. My art has been featured in major exhibitions across Pakistan including the Karachi Biennale, as well as
international platforms in Italy Venice Biennale (Imago Mundi), Dubai, and the US. I also contribute to the art community through writing and
jury work.
“My work explores the overlooked side of city life. Instead of grand architecture or landmark views, I focus on quiet, everyday routines and the
people moving through urban spaces. In this series, I zoom in on these simple moments to highlight their subtle beauty. I build each image using
thousands of small dots, marks, and rich textures , a pixelated technique that reflects how fast-paced city life operates. From a distance, a clear
figure or scene emerges. Up close, the image breaks apart into tiny fragments of color. These small, individual dots represent how fragile and
fleeting our daily lives can be. Routines pass, environments change, and moments disappear quickly. By breaking each scene down into small
pieces, I invite viewers to slow down, look closely, and find meaning in the most ordinary parts of our shared human experience. As an artist
